Position Summary

The National Field Supervisor maintains overall responsibility for leading the field execution team – Market Managers and Part-Time BAs.  Ensures clear delivery of client activations, training and working with Market Managers to provide clear, consistent communication to Brand Ambassadors.  Owns strategic channel focus and makes recommendations to client based on field findings.  Provides regularly monthly competitive intelligence and field updates at regular client meetings. As a member of the management team, participates in strategic planning, budgeting and problem solving initiatives.  Focus is on driving measureable event results to the client through outstanding program execution. 

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Regularly travels to markets for purpose of, but not limited to; Market Manager development, WLSR and client meetings/trainings
  • Strategic oversight of field team providing direction, guidance and support where necessary
  • Develops and executes formal processes and strategies to meet and exceed client sampling and activation objectives
  • Works collaboratively with client to ensure successful communication and execution of client mandated initiatives
  • Drives professional and value oriented relationships with key AB/WLSR management to drive partnership
  • Regularly reports/presents to client on areas of program execution – performance vs. core KPI’s
  • Performance manages field ensuring strong adherence to performance expectations and delivery of results
  • Evaluates field execution results assembling corrective plans to drive sustainable growth
  • Develops employees for career advancement 
  • Conducts National Market Manager and Training Calls
  • Works collaboratively with operations team in areas including, but not limited to, report development, event execution, financial control and coverage model execution/revisions

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

Direct Reports

- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

 

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

- Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty or function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required):    Bachelor's Degree         or equivalent experience

                           

      (Preferred):            Choose an item.  or equivalent experience                      

 

Field of Study/Area of Experience:  Business Administration or Operations Management

 

  • 3-5 years of experience of Field Sales/Field Operations experience, directly managing a field sales team
  • Experience working in an agency, retail, CPG or CE environment

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

 

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact at varying management levels/client interface
  • Strong organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to present effectively to large groups

Environmental & Physical Requirements

 

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
