Chief of Staff, Engineering
Advantage Intelligence, a software development arm of Advantage Solutions (NASDAQ: ADV), is growing and we’re in need of a motivated and adaptable individual to support our senior engineering team as Chief of Staff reporting to our SVP Engineering. As a strategist, consultant and implementer, the successful candidate will ensure streamlined activities within the organization and work with a team of engineering leaders to coordinate delivery of strategic initiatives.
The position is remote eligible (in the US).
Key Responsibilities
· Act as a strategic adviser to engineering leaders
· Coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives
· Participate in regular cross-functional meetings to ensure we are running an effective, collaborative and efficient engineering organization
· Ensure all staff issues are addressed properly, efficiently and judiciously, and keep track of progress until resolve
About you:
· Data-driven. Understanding what to measure and how, for tracking KPIs relating to engineering performance, operational headcount, and vendor spend, to ensure smooth functioning of the engineering organization.
· Can translate business processes to concrete solutions
· Enjoy working in a dynamic and continuously changing work environment
· Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and risk management skills with a curiosity to problem solve, analyze root cause and identify corrective actions to prevent recurrence
· Proactive leadership skills with the ability to play a trusted advisor to C-level executives
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver presentations to technical and non-
· Experience working with cross functional teams including sales, marketing, user experience design, engineering, and finance
· A Master or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of expertise or equivalent by experience
Sample Job Duties:
· Collaborating with Advantage Intelligence Engineering team leads to determine and prioritize business strategies
· Coordinate scheduling and deliverables from engineering groups
· Providing department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork and collaboration
· Planning, coordinating, and keeping contents of a meeting focused
· Determining and tracking key performance indicators and how to measure team performance
· Providing tactical support to implement ideas
· Working with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals
· Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities within business processes
· Providing support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
· Planning, coordinating and leading meetings and workshops
· Identifying and providing recommendations on improvements across the organization
· Support and track overall engineering organization headcount and vendor spend to stay within budget
