Position Summary                                                 

To support the Financial Transformation within Advantage Solutions, a Financial Planning & Consolidation project is currently underway to implement the Oracle EPM suite of products.  This role will have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor and actively participate in the project as the modules are designed and created. This individual will assume responsibility for the Consolidation module and associated reporting in EPM after go-live.

 

This role will also serve as a business partner ensuring that IT initiatives are aligned with the business objectives and priorities of the various Finance teams.  This role will have responsibility for ensuring that all Oracle EPM processes are completed in a timely manner to ensure the successful completion of financial close cycles.

Responsibilities

•       Provide technical oversight of the Consolidation module and associated ETL / reporting in the Oracle EPM suite

•       Collaborate with Finance teams to identify new/revised EPM requirements, translate requirements into technical solutions, formulate proposed prioritization / timing, gain approval from the EPM leadership council, and complete implementation and testing activities

•       Ensure best practices and alignment with other modules of the EPM suite of products are considered when implementing master data, business rule, or other technical modifications

•       Provide training, guidance, and support to end-users on close & consolidation and reporting activities

•       Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the business objectives of the various Finance teams

•       Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the various systems and applications

•       Develop and manage IT project plans, timelines, and budgets related to close & consolidation and reporting

•       Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers

•       Develop and maintain IT documentation, including process maps, technical diagrams, and training materials

•       Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer service excellence within the IT team

•       Stay current with emerging technologies and trends related to financial planning, consolidation, and reporting

- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

 

Indirect Reports

- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

 

Travel Requirements

 

- Travel up to 25 %

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field

 

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

  • Proven experience (5 years) in financial planning and consolidation, preferably in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of financial planning and consolidation systems such as Oracle Cloud EPM, Oracle Hyperion, OneStream including implementing master data, business rule, ETL, and reporting changes
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and consolidation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing IT projects related to close & consolidation and reporting
  • Hands-on Project Delivery experience delivering solutions for the close & consolidation module in EPM
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks

Environmental & Physical Requirements

 

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
